33 Weeks!!…

Hey there!  Happy Wednesday!  My blog posting has been completely off lately and I didn’t have the chance to tell you about my weekend.  It was quite hectic.  Mike and I were running around getting things together for the shower on Saturday.  Melissa and my mom came over on Saturday to help with shower things. We got a decent amount of things accomplished so I was really happy about that.  We also stopped by my friend, Courtney’s birthday party and had dinner and celebrated with her.  That was pretty much our weekend.  It was a lot crammed into a few days.  Now here we are in my 33rd week of pregnancy so let’s get started with the recap!

Fun Facts About the Baby At 33 Weeks

  • This week the baby weighs a little over 4 pounds and has passed the 17-inch mark.
  • She’s rapidly losing that wrinkled, alien look and her skeleton is hardening. The bones in her skull aren’t fused together, which allows them to move and slightly overlap, thus making it easier for her to fit through the birth canal.
  • These bones don’t entirely fuse until early adulthood, so they can grow as her brain and other tissue expands during infancy and childhood.

How far along?  33 Weeks & 4 Days

Baby’s size? A pineapple

Stretch marks? No, knock on wood.

Sleep: Sleep for me is getting a lot worse. I toss and turn plenty of times throughout the night trying to get comfortable.  I’ve come to the conclusion that there is no getting comfortable now.  My belly is growing rapidly and it’s hard to get comfortable even with a pillow propping my belly up.  It’s okay though.  All of this is worth it.

Best moment this week: Our nursery furniture was delivered!!  Her room is finally starting to look like a nursery!

Miss Anything?  A fruity cocktail!

Movement: I feel a lot of movement all the time.  The other day I swear I felt her foot and toes!  It felt so weird but I loved that I had the chance to feel it.  I know the movement is going to dissipate a little because she is getting much bigger and is running out of room but for now I am enjoying every kick and punch.  She is quite the active girl.  I guess she takes after her daddy.

Food cravings: Cheese, Decaf Iced Coffee, Outshine Fruit Ice Pops, Fresh Cherries, Peaches, Potato Chips

Anything making you queasy or sick:  My heartburn makes me feel really queasy all the time.  I try to drink a lot of water and take tums when necessary.

Gender: Girl!

Labor Signs: No, thank goodness!

Symptoms: tired, breakouts on my face/body, charlie horses in my legs/feet, indigestion, swollen feet, back pain, pains in my leg, breast leakage (using nursing pads), itchy skin, greasy hair, heavy stomach, pains in groin area (feels like I’ve gone horseback riding for hours upon hours), stretching in my belly, Braxton Hicks Contractions, severe heartburn, nausea, extremely hot

Belly Button in or out? In.

Wedding rings on or off? On.

Happy or Moody most of the time: I’m mostly happy but I’m nervous and stressed.  I just really want it to be time for her to be here already.  I want to hold her in my arms.

Looking forward to: My OB appointment today, meeting the pediatrician tomorrow, and the baby shower on Saturday!

We have quite a few exciting things to do this week!  I’m looking forward to my OB appointment after work today.  I am meeting the last mid-wife who I haven’t met in the practice.  After her, I would have met every midwife which makes me feel comfortable knowing that I have met everyone who might deliver the baby.  I can’t wait to meet the pediatrician tomorrow either.  This office has come highly recommended so I’m sure it will be a great experience.  I also can’t wait to post about our baby shower!  It’s going to turn out wonderfully!

Have a great Wednesday!

  1. You look great and are getting SOOOO close to the big day! The last couple months are the slowest. But your daughter will be here before you know it and then pregnancy will seem like it was so quick. At least that’s what happened to me, haha.
