Ology Well-Being Products from Walgreens…

Hey there!  Happy Monday!  I hope you had a great weekend!  I will do a weekend recap tomorrow.  Today, I have a post that I am pretty excited to blog about.  I was given the opportunity from Mom’s Meet to try Ology products from Walgreens.

Ology is a brand from Walgreens that contain household cleaners, paper products, personal care and baby products.  All of these products contain no harmful chemicals, and are 100% tree-free.  Ology works to avoid using toxic chemicals, and they are actively seeking sustainable raw materials and natural ingredients to use in their production process.

I was sent the paper towels, laundry detergent and household cleaner spray to try out.

It was perfect timing for this because with a baby on the way, I am looking for ways to use more environmentally friendly products and especially products that do not contain chemicals on anything that will be in her room or that she will wear.

I think the most important item that I was sent was the laundry detergent.

It is imperative that you do not wash newborn babies clothing in detergents that contain harsh chemicals are scents.  So when I was sent Ology laundry detergent to try out, I was really excited.  As we are still waiting for our baby furniture to arrive, I didn’t want to wash all of her clothing or blankets but I did want to try out the detergent to see how it works.  I washed a few of her blankets and towels with Ology and I found that they looked and smelled clean.  It didn’t ruin the materials of the blankets or towels.  The detergent did a great job of making her blankets and towels look nice and clean for her use.  I’m looking forward to using the detergent to wash all of her clothes once we have a place to store them in her room.

Ology 2x Laundry Liquid Detergent is available in a free and clear scent as well as a spring lavender vanilla scent.  Both of these scents are made with only natural ingredients—nothing artificial.  The detergent contains no dyes, artificial fragrances or phosphates.  The following chemicals are NEVER found in any of Ology’s products: ammonia, chlorine bleach, DEA (diethanolamine), TEA (triethanolamine), parabens, phthalates, formaldehyde, nonylphenol ethoxylates, triclosan, and SLS/SLES.  Ology products are never tested on animals.

I also tried out the paper towels that I received.  I wasn’t sure that they would be as absorbent as other paper towels that I use because the fact that they are environmentally friendly but I was highly surprised.  They held up just as well if not better than regular towels that I use.  They held their shape and absorbed any spills that I had to wipe up.  I was very impressed.

The towels are 100% tree-free and are whitened with H2O2, a non-chlorine based bleach.  The towels are made from readily renewable sugar cane husk and quick-growing bamboo that regenerates in as little as six months.  They are available in packs of 2 and sell for $3.99.  They are a little on the pricy side but you are paying for the quality and the fact that they are 100% tree free and do not contain chlorine.  I think I would use these the most in wiping down the furniture and items in the babies room.  I don’t necessarily think I would need to use it in my own home, although I would if I had coupons as it is a little on the pricy side.

I was also looking forward to trying out the All-Purpose Cleaner.  I have always been big on using cleaners that do not contain harsh chemicals or have strong smells.  I have bad allergies and asthma so using harmful products to clean in my home is not something that I like to do.  I try to use all natural cleaning products as much as possible.  I’m going to do so even more when cleaning in the baby’s room.

The Ology All-Purpose Cleaner can be used on kitchen counters, stove tops, and most household surfaces.  The cleaner is free of harmful chemicals.  It does not contain any harsh solvents, dyes, ammonia, or artificial fragrances.  It sells for $3.99 per bottle.  I totally think it’s worth it because of the fact that it does not contain harsh chemicals.  I was impressed when I tried this cleaner out.  It made my kitchen look beautiful and the counter tops were clean.  It did not give off a bad smell and it didn’t leave the surfaces with any residue.  It made the counters look very clean.  I’m looking forward to using this in the baby’s room to clean her furniture and any other items in her room that need to be cleaned.

Overall, I will most likely continue using the All-Purpose Cleaner and the Laundry Detergent in my home.  I personally found that they are most beneficial in my home.  I would highly recommend trying them out in your home.
