Hey there! Happy Thursday to you! I am so nervous for today. Today the first event at work that I have pretty much planned myself. So I’m praying, hoping and wishing that everything goes as planned and it turns out great. Of course random pop up problems are enviable but I hope those are minimal and turn easily resolvable. It’s going to be a very long day for me and I probably won’t get home until later tonight. I just want everything to go well. I’ve worked very hard on this event.
Anyway, this week I turned 31 Weeks! So let’s get started on my recap!
31 Weeks Pregnant
Fun Facts About the Baby At 31 Weeks
- Baby measures over 16 inches long. She weighs about 3 1/3 pounds and is heading into a growth spurt.
- She can turn her head from side to side, and her arms, legs, and body are beginning to plump out as needed fat accumulates underneath her skin.
- She’s probably moving a lot, too, so you may have trouble sleeping because your baby’s kicks and somersaults keep you up. Take comfort: All this moving is a sign that your baby is active and healthy.
How far along? 31Weeks & 5 Days
Baby’s size? A large coconut
Stretch marks? No, knock on wood.
Sleep: It’s difficult to sleep. She is active when I’m sleeping now as well as during the day as mentioned above. I’ve wedged a small pillow underneath my belly hoping that it will make things more comfortable. I toss and turn a lot during the night though so I am constantly moving the pillow. I also find that I wake up every couple of hours with a stuffy or runny nose. That is the worst part of all.
Best moment this week: Feeling even more movement than I’ve been feeling. The movements are so much stronger and sometimes I think I can feel certain body parts but I am unable to make out what they are just yet.
Miss Anything? Sleeping on my belly or back.
Movement: As I mentioned, I feel a ton of movement. She is extremely active and anytime I get nervous when she stops moving, I know how to get her to move again. It’s truly amazing to watch this baby grow throughout these past months. It’s a miracle what our bodies are capable of.
Food cravings: Cheese, Decaf Iced Coffee, Fruit Ice Pops, Fried Chicken, Sushi
Anything making you queasy or sick: I’ve been feeling a little nauseous especially when I get Braxton Hicks contractions.
Labor Signs: No, thank goodness!
Symptoms: tired, breakouts on my face/body, heartburn, charlie horses in my legs/feet, indigestion, swollen feet, back pain, pains in my leg, breast leakage (using nursing pads), itchy skin, greasy hair, heavy stomach, pains in groin area (feels like I’ve gone horseback riding for hours upon hours), stretching in my belly, Braxton Hicks Contractions
Belly Button in or out? In.
Wedding rings on or off? On.
Happy or Moody most of the time: I’m happy most of the time. I have the normal stress. I’m getting nervous about her furniture not coming in. I don’t know what is taking the crib so long to come in. I’m hoping and wishing that it will come in very soon!
Looking forward to: Getting things together for the baby shower, having the furniture come in for the nursery, my OB appointment tomorrow.
So there you have my 31 Week Recap! It’s hard to believe that on Saturday I will be officially 8 months! That is just crazy to me. I feel like this has gone by so slow but fast at the same time. I’m anxiously awaiting everything that comes with being a mom. I just want to make sure we have her nursery together first which we don’t. I have a feeling that is going to be a last-minute thing. I am an excessive planner so it’s driving me crazy. All I can do is wait.
Have a great Thursday!
