A Craving Filled Weekend!..

Hey there!  Happy Monday to you!  I hope you had a lovely weekend! What did you do this weekend? I had a good weekend despite the fact that I haven’t been feeling that great.  I’m getting a lot of pains and I think it’s because of the baby getting bigger and my body stretching to accommodate her.  I’ve also read that the baby is starting to get into position for childbirth so that might be contributing to my pains too.  I’m glad that I have an OB appointment on Friday.  I already have a ton of questions that I want to ask.

Anyway, let’s move on to this weekend!  I had my last Friday off this past Friday.  I will start doing summer hours this week meaning that I get to leave on Fridays around 1pm.  So that should make the week go by quickly.  I also have off next Monday and that will be last official day off until I go on maternity leave.  I will savor every moment of that day off.

On Friday, Melissa and I got lunch together.  We both didn’t really enjoy where we went for lunch.  It was disappointing and I thought it would have been better.  Oh well.  We live and learn and will not go back.  Afterwards, we went over to Party City to order the decorations for the baby shower.  I am super excited about the decorations!  They are adorable and I will be able to use parts of them for the baby’s room when the shower is over.  We also went to the Dollar store to pick up a few other supplemental items that were cheaper there.  We are going to have to go back to the Dollar store and Party City to get our catering needs once we finalize what we will be making and serving.  We have a preliminary list but we are waiting to see how many people will actually be attending first.  Then we will go shopping for the food items.  I know that is going to be a big couponing trip that I will be looking forward to!

On Friday night, I finally satisfied one of my cravings!  Mike and I decided to go to a new sushi place that we kept driving past but never went to.  They offer 50% off sushi all the time.  I was expecting the place to be not so great but much to our surprise the food was fantastic and it had a really nice atmosphere!  We will be going back for sure.

My sushi!

My sushi!

I went a little overboard in my sushi ordering but they made for great leftovers!!  I got a chicken tempura roll, California roll, avocado roll, and sweet potato roll.  The sweet potato roll and chicken tempura roll were my favorite!  I am craving them again.  You can really load up on sushi when 6 rolls cost $2.00!  I thought that was an amazing deal.  I am counting the moments and days until I go back there.  Yum!

On Saturday, I was actually able to sleep in a little bit.  I slept in later than I have in months.  It felt great.  I went over to Melissa and my mom’s house and we went out to run errands.  I kept getting $10 coupons from Kohl’s so I decided to pick up a few things for the baby of course.  I got quite the cute outfits and I will post one of them this week that Melissa picked out.  The outfit is for the fall and it is super cute!!  I already have an idea of putting a headband on her with fake baby ugg boots with the outfit.  It’s so adorable and I can’t wait for her to wear it.

On Sunday, Mike and I did our usual shopping trip.  We were out of the house for several hours and I think it was a bit too much for me because my feet were killing me.  I learned my lesson.  I fulfilled one of my other cravings yesterday.  I wanted a decaf iced coffee from Dunkin Donuts and I also picked up one of their newest donuts which is now a new favorite of mine!  It’s a blueberry crumb donut and if you are a blueberry fan as much as I am then you NEED to try this!

It has blueberry filling in the center and the top has crumb that tastes like pie!!  I was in heaven with this donut and I know that I will need to get it again at some point.  So delicious!!  What is your favorite kind of donut?

Alright, well that was my weekend.  Have a great Monday!
