I’m Back And Better Than Ever…

Hello there!  Long time no talk.  As you may have noticed, I took a brief break from blogging for a week.  I actually took my blog down and made it private.  I needed a break and wanted to take the time to reevaluate my blog and what I would like to do with it in the future.  Rather than keep it live, I decided to take it down during this time.

I have been blogging for roughly 2.5 years and this blog has brought me so much joy.  I have met so many people and have been brought opportunities that I normally wouldn’t have without blogging.  Blogging is my escape.  It’s a place where I can gather my thoughts and keep a record of my life.  I enjoy sharing my eats, my adventures, finds, and everyday life.  I like the fact that I am not a professional photographer and do not own a professional camera.  I take pictures of things that I enjoy and want to keep a memory of.  I may not eat organic foods but I eat the best that I can and that is okay for me.  I want to be my own person and not a carbon copy of someone else.  I am real.  I am honest and that is what I want my blog to be.  I want it to be the best and honest version of myself.  I want this to be a place where I can share my thoughts, food, my finds, and my life.  I want it to be a place where anyone from all walks of life can read and enjoy and relate to me in many ways.

I think the fact that I am not like everyone else and eat my own way and live the way that I want makes me different and unique.  I think being different and unique is what makes you special in your own way.  Everyone is entitled to their own opinions and thoughts and I welcome that.  I find it really sad when others are extremely critical of others and say things that are very discriminative and intentionally said to inflict hurt.

We are all from different walks of life and live our lives the best way that we can and more importantly afford to.  I strive for my blog to be a place where people can connect with me that have similar interests and want to share in my life.  If you don’t want to then don’t waste your time reading.  It’s not worth it by any means.  I am who I am and I will not change.  “Believe in yourself and all that you are.  Know that there is something inside you that is greater than any obstacle,” said Christian D. Larson.  That statement is so true.  Throughout this week, I have believed in myself more than ever.  I have a right to blog and voice my opinion and I am going to.  This is something that I love to do and I am not going to stop.

“The less you respond to rude, critical argumentative people…The more peaceful your life will become.”  That is exactly how I feel.  With A Side Of Hope is place where you can come to learn about myself and my life.  It’s a place where you can be yourself and find recipes, new products for the everyday person, and relate to someone who is down-to-earth and honest.  I want this to be a place where you feel like you can come to everyday and relate.

I want to thank each and every one of you for taking the time to read my blog.  I truly appreciate it more than you know.  I am back and I am ready to go!  I have quite a few things to update on and I will definitely be back to do so!  Thank you for bearing with me during my short break!

  2. Hi Hope,
I don’t have a blog, but I’m a big fan of reading other people’s…it’s fun to follow along with a stranger’s life, just kind of takes me out of my world for a little bit. I found your website randomly and it has become one of my favorites. I admire your honesty and your upbeat personality, these things really shine through in your writing. Just wanted to say keep up the good work!
