Fun Finds Friday: Favorite Magazine Reads!..

Happy Friday to you!  I hope you had a great week!  Do you have anything fun planned for this upcoming weekend?  We are getting more snow tomorrow but I think it’s supposed to turn to rain so it won’t be so bad.  I’m glad that I will at least be able to get to have a weekend and get things done that I need to.  So that is always a good thing.

Anyway, today is another Fun Finds Friday and instead of featuring foods or products today, I am going to feature magazines.  Magazines have always been a part of my life growing up as well as books.  However, when I didn’t get the urge to read a book, I would pick up a magazine.  My magazine choices have changed greatly since then and I find myself drifting more towards cooking and lifestyle magazines.  Some favorites of mine growing up were: Seventeen, Tiger Beat, Teen People, Cosmo Girl and Teen.  Do you remember those?!

My magazine choices have changed since then.  I really have no interest in Cosmopolitan magazine.  I find that every issue is the same and when I open a magazine I am looking for something different each issue.  I enjoy reading different articles and seeing recipes or decorating ideas.  It gets boring if you see the same things issue after issue.  So that tends to stray me from those types of magazines.  Here are some of my favorites as of lately:

Cooking Light Magazine

Cooking Light December 2013 Cover

This is a brand new subscription of mine.  I actually just received the issue above not too long ago.  I’ve always been a fan of Cooking Light’s website so I figured that the magazine would be just as good if not better.  Instead of printing out recipes that I like, I can just rip them out of the magazine to save them.  I do that often when I find recipes that I want to try.  I found so many decent recipes in this magazine and I am very happy with my decision to subscribe.  I’m looking forward to enjoying more issues.

Everyday with Rachael Ray Magazine

It’s no surprise that I am a Rachael Ray fan!  I have mentioned it numerous times on here and have made and continue to make her recipes.  I also have some of her cookware and serving pieces that I love.  Her magazine is no exception.  Her magazine has great recipes as well as interesting articles.  I personally don’t subscribe to it since Melissa does.  She gives me the magazine to read when she is done with it.  I highly recommend her magazine if you are a Rachael Ray fan.

Food Network Magazine

This magazine is another one that I’m sure isn’t a surprise to you.  I love the Food Network and I am a fan of a love of the chefs on the network.  This magazine is wonderful!  I have been subscribed since the magazine started!  I love it so much and I would be so disappointed if they stopped making it.  The magazine is filled with tons of recipes with Food Network chefs.  They also have inserts for various cooking ideas which is great.  I recommend this magazine too!

All You Magazine

All You Magazine is another magazine that I have been reading for several years.  I was actually featured in the magazine years ago for a recipe that I submitted!  The best part about this magazine is that it contains several coupons.  As you know, I love couponing so it’s the perfect magazine for someone who enjoys that as much as I do.  They have great decorating, home, and relationship advice as well as recipes.

Good Housekeeping Magazine

Good Housekeeping is one of those must-read magazines.  They usually have an influential celebrity on the cover that they interview.  They have thoughtful articles and products that they have tested and tried and given the “Good Housekeeping Seal of Approval.”  This magazine is a classic and I love it.

So there you have a glimpse into some of my favorite magazines.  I read a few more which I neglected to mention but these are my favorites of the ones that I receive.  Do you subscribe to any magazines?  Which ones do you read?  Any of the same that I do?

Alright, well that is all that I have for today.  I hope you have a lovely Friday and a wonderful weekend!

  1. I hear you! I used to like reading Cosmo until I realized that every issue I read was the same as the previous month. It got super repetitive. But I really like the ones you listed here! Plus Real Simple. :)
