Last Weekend Of September!!..

Hi there!  Happy Monday to you!  I don’t know how happy it is considering the fact it’s Monday but let’s make it a happy one.  I hope you had a great weekend and enjoyed the beautiful weather.  What did you do this weekend?  I had a mostly relaxing weekend.  I didn’t really do much except for the usually errands.  That is fine by me.  I also caught up on my fall tv watching but now my dvr is getting full again.  Can you believe tomorrow starts the first of October??  I can’t believe it’s going to be October already!  That is just crazy to me.  Next week will be three months that I have been working at my new job.  It hasn’t felt like that long at all!  Everything just flies by!

Anyway, let’s get started on recapping the weekend.  On Friday, I really felt like eating dinner at home.  I’m glad that we decided to do that rather than waste money.  We are really trying to just go out to dinner one night a week.  We want to save money for a house and by going out to eat all the time it’s just not conducive to that.  Plus, I’d rather eat at home anyway.  I like knowing what is going into my food.  The only way to do that is to cook it at home.

So on Friday, we used our favorite meatballs!

The best meatballs!

These chicken meatballs are so good but they are tad on the expensive side.  I usually only purchase them when they are on sale and I have a coupon and I know I have a decent amount of overage towards my items at the supermarket.  That happened with this last week so we were able to purchase it.  It has such great flavor!!

I cooked up bucatini, my favorite pasta and some sauce and made a quick and easy meal.

After dinner, we went to a few stores including Target.  I seriously can’t stay away from that store.  They have such cute clothes out, it’s really bad.  I’ve also discovered the Cartwheel app which saves you percentages on certain items.  You can put it right on your phone and show your phone at check out.  You can pair Cartwheel deals with Target coupons and manufacturers coupons.  So it makes for a really great deal.

After we were done at the stores, we came home and watched some tv and did things around the house.  We ultimately decided to get Mexican food for dinner at my favorite restaurant!!!  I haven’t had Mexican in so long.  I just love it so much.  I always say this but I could literally eat it every single day.  This restaurant has the BEST Mexican, in my opinion.

Our meals were big and we both filled up on chips and an appetizer so we brought the majority of our meal home.  We actually ended up eating the rest of our dinner for dinner last night.  I love it!  I got to enjoy my favorite meal twice!!  Do you like Mexican food?  What is your favorite Mexican dish?

I love guacamole, burritos, tacos, fajitas, Mexican rice, and quesadillas!  I love it all!  I haven’t met a Mexican food item that I didn’t really like.

Yesterday, I did food shopping for the week and due to my couponing skills, the total was over $50 and I got it down to $15!!  I couldn’t believe it.  I had a feeling it was going to be pretty low because of all of the sales and coupons that I had.  I just love triple coupons.  There is nothing like it.

Well, that is all I have for today.  I hope you have a lovely Monday!
