Organization & My Bachelorette Reaction!…

Hi there!  Happy Tuesday to you!  I know that the very first thing that I need to talk about today is the Bachelorette finale!  If you didn’t watch and don’t know who Desiree picked, definitely skip to the next paragraph because I am going to say spoilers.  I was so shocked sitting there.  I kept waiting and waiting and waiting for Brooks to appear.  I think most people were waiting for him to make a come back.  I follow the blog Reality Steve and have for several years.  He posts spoilers of the entire seasons of the show and gives details about each episode and more importantly who ends up with the proposal.  All along he kept saying Brooks is who she ends up with.  Watching the show, I was completely convinced of this too.  That is why I was sitting there incredibly shocked when Chris proposed and when Desiree said that she was in love with him.

I wasn’t sure what to believe.  I guess they are genuinely happy together.  I only stayed up to see Brooks on After the Final Rose.  I didn’t watch anything else because I had to go to sleep to get up for work today.  So I will watch the rest of it today after work.  I also taped appearances of her on talk shows today.  So it will be interesting to see her with Chris and how they are now.  I’m still in shock.  I really thought Brooks was going to come back but after hearing him on After the Final Rose, I think she made the right choice.  He still sounds confused and just doesn’t know what he wants.  What did you think?  Did you think she was going to pick Chris all along?  Did you think Brook’s was going to come back?

Anyway, let’s move on my dinner from last night!  Over the weekend, Mike and I picked up this tortellini and pesto sauce from Aldi.

I was not a huge fan of this jarred pesto sauce.  I don’t really like jarred pesto sauces.  I have to say that I really like fresh pesto sauce instead.  I’d rather make it myself or order it out at a restaurant.  I never think the jarred tastes as good.  I do like pesto cream sauces.  Those are really good!  The sauce that is like that at Maggiano’s is my favorite!  If you are a fan, definitely try it there!

The ravioli was really good.  It had a nice mushroom flavor and it wasn’t overpowering at all.  I thought it was great and it reminded of me tortellini that we have bought from Trader Joe’s before but this one was much cheaper.

Before I go today, I wanted to talk quickly about the project that Mike and I did to our laundry room.  We were running out of space because I keep doing so many couponing deals at the supermarket.  I counted over the weekend and we have 29 boxes of cereal and 7 containers of laundry detergent!  Yikes!  I guess I have a stock pile now.  So we needed to add some shelving to the shelving that we put up a couple of years ago.

I love that when I look at that shelf, I see a basket that I had out at our wedding.  I believe that basket held our wedding programs.  I’m glad that I was able to reuse it for something in our home.  That shelf was a mess with all of the Tupperware containers and I’m glad that we were able to install a shelf above the other shelf and now it looks SO much better!

I had clutter so we are trying to organize the house as best as we can.  It’s been cluttered for a while and we are slowly making progress in each room in clearing it out and organizing it.  It will make things much easier when we hopefully move next year.

Alright, well that is all I have for today.  Have a great Tuesday!

  1. I didn’t know who she’d pick, but I had hoped for Chris all along. This is the first time the person I am rooting for on The Bachelor/Bachelorette has actually been the one picked so I was excited about that. He just seemed so right for her!
