Hi there! Happy Wednesday to you! This week is completely flying by! I think it’s because I was off from work on Monday. If you are off at the beginning of the week, I think it messes with the rest of the week. I’m not complaining though! We were supposed to be getting a big storm on Friday but unfortunately now I think it is going to be just rain. I’m hoping it changes it’s path and we end up getting a significant amount of snow. Time is running out for a snowstorm. I want just one and then I will be happy.
Yesterday, I was not feeling well at all. I am still having trouble hearing out of my ear. I’m going to give it one more day to clear up and then I think I might need to get it checked out. I wanted dinner to be quick and easy to throw together. That is exactly what it was. It was very good too. I decided to make Spinach Tortellini from Trader Joe’s.
I love this spinach tortellini from Trader Joe’s. The tortellini cook super quick. They are filled with cheese and spinach. They are light and fluffy and pretty reasonably priced too. For the package, I believe it’s $1.99. Not bad if you ask me especially since it fed both of us. I also paired the tortellini with some Perdue Whole Grain Chicken Breast Cutlets.
We used to buy the Chicken Breast Cutlets all the time back in the day. It’s super quick for an easy meal and each breast has 180 calories and is made with whole grains. They don’t use any preservatives or fillers and it’s only white meat chicken. I didn’t buy it for a while because I wasn’t sure if it was bothering my stomach or not. I decided that we should try it again since I had coupons and it was on sale.
I made the tortellini and tossed in some fresh spinach and I tossed that in a new Classico Light Asiago Romano Alfredo sauce. Since, tomatoes are a huge issue with my stomach, I’ve decided to stay away from them as much as possible. So we are exploring different types of alfredo sauces.
This alfredo sauce has 65% less fat, and 55% fewer calories than other alfredo sauces. It’s also made with cream, Asiago, and Romano and Parmesan cheeses. Each serving of this sauce is 45 calories. So you know it’s one of the lighter alfredo sauces on the market.
I have to say that I really enjoyed the sauce! It didn’t taste light at all. You could taste all of the cheeses but the Asiago flavor was not overpowering. That is what I was afraid of because I am not a huge fan of Asiago cheese. Mike is very picky when it comes to Alfredo sauces because that is his favorite sauce and he even liked it! He is not a fan of jarred alfredo’s but he liked this one! I’m glad that we finally found a sauce that we both like. I can see us using this sauce from now on when we want pasta. Have you ever tried this sauce before? Do you prefer jarred sauces or do you like to make your own?
Shifting gears a little bit, I signed onto my email this morning and I was greeted with a surprise email! You might be able to guess that it had something to do with Twitter since the heading of this post says one of my Twitter dreams has come true. Well it has! Take a look at this:
Yes, David Tutera in fact is following me on Twitter!! I almost fell off my chair when I read that! He is my inspiration. He is one of the best wedding planners in the US! I have been so inspired by him and just absolutely love his work. He is what really inspired me to get my wedding planning certification and to now have him following me on twitter, is a dream come true! I am shocked that he is following me yet I am super excited! I have my first celebrity follow! Do you have any celebrities following you or has a celebrity ever tweeted you?
I have never had any interactions between celebrities on twitter but I just think it’s so amazing that this day in age, we are able to follow celebrities and see what they are posting or taking pictures of. It makes you more connected to them in that aspect. That is what I really like about twitter.
Alright, well that is what I have for today. I hope you have a wonderful Wednesday!
