Happy Half-Birthday!…

Hi there!  Happy Tuesday to you!  I hope your week is off to a great start.  I’m loving this weather right now.  It’s been quite chilly outside and I just love it.  I think fall is my favorite season of all.  I would much rather be cold than hot.  I hate being hot.  At least when you are cold, you can put on layers.  When you are hot, there really isn’t much that you can do except sit in front of the air conditioner.  So I’d rather be cold.  This morning was the coldest that it’s been.  When I checked the temperature on my phone, it said it was in the 40′s.  I’d believe it. I was blasting the heat in my car while driving.  Days like today, are when I miss the heated seats in my old car.  That is the only thing that I miss about that car.

Anyway, guess what today is?!  Today is my half-birthday!  I am officially 28.5 years old today.   I don’t know if that is something to celebrate though.  I’m slowly inching my way closer and closer to 30 which is very frightening to me.

Do you celebrate your half-birthday?  When is your half-birthday?  I don’t celebrate mine.  I used to make more of a deal about it when I was younger but now that I am going to be 29 in 6 months, I think I can wait.  That is crazy.  I can’t believe I’m going to be 29 in 6 months.  I don’t like the sound of that.  I think that 30 is the new 20 though.  Ages are slowly becoming younger and younger if you know what I mean.

Last night for dinner, we finished up the rotisserie chicken that I had picked up on Sunday.  I roasted some more vegetables and made Smiley face fries.  Those are my favorite because it tastes like mashed potatoes in the middle!  The outside is crispy and the inside is like I said, mashed potatoes.  Plus, they are fun to look at.

My dinner plate

I remember in my college’s cafeteria, they used to have the Smiley face fries every single day for lunch and dinner.  I was in heaven!  They are my favorite.  I felt like a little kid eating them but most of the time, I didn’t care.  It’s just one of those things that was comforting to me and reminded me of home.

After dinner, we went to put some air in my car’s tires because they were extremely light and my stupid light came on the dash.  I hate that.  At least now I know how to put the air in the tires because where we went, it was all digital!  It was perfect for someone who has absolutely no clue about putting air in their tires like me.  So I’m glad that now if I need to do it again, I don’t need to wait for Mike. I can do it myself.

Once we got home, I put on the new show called Partners.  I was expecting more from it.  There were like one or two lines that I thought were funny but for the most part, it was really disappointing.  I wanted to like it because I like Sophia Bush as an actress.  I used to watch Michael Urie on Ugly Betty.  So I thought I was going to like but I sadly, I didn’t.  Maybe I will give it one more episode before I make my final decision?  I’m looking forward to watching Made in Jersey, Grey’s Anatomy, Once Upon A Time, Revenge, Nashville and 666 Park.  I hope all of them are good.  I’m also looking forward to watching my CW shows when they come back.  I haven’t been too impressed by some of these fall shows yet. I hope that turns around though.

Alright, well have a lovely Tuesday!
