Hi there! Happy Tuesday to you! I hope your week is going well so far. My week is going good. I have decided that my last day at work will be next Monday. I was planning on working a half-day on Tuesday but I have entirely too many things to get done. Plus, with me working so far from home, it really doesn’t make sense to come into work for 4 hours. I’m not quite sure what I’d really be able to get done. So I think I’m going to just take that day off. Then I won’t come back to work until August 27th. That is a long time! I think that will be the longest I will have been away from work. That is why I am really trying hard to push my work as far ahead as I possibly can get it. I will be having people covering for me but I would really like it if I could get all of my work done as much as I can so no one really has to do much. I feel bad making other people do my work when I’m gone. I’ve done it for them but when it comes to me I feel bad for some reason.
So yesterday after work, I ran home and got a few things and changed and went over to Melissa and my mom’s house. Melissa got free coupons from Pillsbury for new biscuits that they had just come out with. It’s their new Honey Butter biscuits. We decided to make them to have along with dinner.
They were fantastic! I really liked them a lot. Since my stomach was not cooperating with me, my mom made me some eggs that I ate along with a biscuit.
Melissa had won free tickets to see Estelle at World Cafe Live in Philly. So we head down there and luckily, I found a place to park right outside. We went in, and were greeted with a glass of our favorite champagne, Rosa Regale. Our free tickets were standing room only. So we stood there and waited for her to come on and waited and waited and waited. Our feet were killing us and it was getting to the point where it seemed like she was never going to come on. It kept getting later and later and we both decided that we had enough and left. I had fun while we were standing there talking and people watching. We managed to get free Rosa Regale lip glosses and a compact with a light in it. So that was pretty cool. It was something that was stress-free and that was exactly what I needed. It might not have turned out as planned but at least we had fun together. That is the most important thing.
Moving on to another topic. I completely forgot about my two-year blogging anniversary which passed on Saturday! As of August 4th, I have been officially blogging for two years. I really cannot believe it has been that long. It’s really been amazing what blogging has done for me. It has opened a lot of doors and I have met people and interacted with people who I may have never had the chance to if it weren’t for blogging. I am so thankful for that. So I wanted to take the time to reflect on some of the highlights of my 2nd year of blogging.
Highlights:
We started planning our wedding.
I attended an opening event at the Bonefish Grill.
Mike and I celebrated our 6 year anniversary.
I met the lovely Krissie & Shari!
I met Teresa Giduice from Real Housewives of New Jersey twice, Bethenny Frankel and Anne Burrell.
I had surgery for the first time in my entire life.
I was diagnosed with Crohn’s Disease.
Those are some of the major highlights that I can think of off the top of my head right now. I know there are several more that escape me. This year of blogging has been a long, hard and stressful one. I have gone through a lot over this past year and I continue to go through a lot. It’s being able to share my thoughts and experiences with all of you that make it all worth while. I appreciate all of you for taking the time out of your day to listen to my thoughts and to give me your advice, ideas, and support. It means the world to me!
What have you learned through blogging? How long do you think you will continue to blog?
Have a great Tuesday!
