Hi there! Happy Tuesday to you! I hope your week is off to a good start. It’s always a good thing when your Monday is positive. I think it sets the tone for the rest of the week. That is always a good thing. My week is off to a somewhat good start. I got a ton of stuff done after work yesterday! I was at Kinko’s for well over an hour getting things printed and then cutting them. I cut everything by hand because they charge you an arm and a leg to cut things for you. It’s crazy. Mike actually works down the street from there so he was able to stop in and help me. Now I only need to get the escort cards and programs printed and I am done with printing things. Wahoo! It feels so good to cross things off your to-do list.
After Kinko’s, I had to stop at AC Moore to pick up envelopes for our rehearsal dinner invites and get stickers for our venue to know who ordered what dish for dinner. I will be putting them on the escort cards. Once we got home, we decided to eat something quick and easy for dinner. I remembered that we had a frozen bagged meal that we bought from ShopRite a week ago.
We decided to try the Chicken Stir Fry from Gourmet Dining. This was my first time ever seeing this brand in the store. I was a little nervous to buy it. I haven’t really had any frozen bagged meals in a while since all of my stomach issues. I figured that it didn’t seem like the ingredients were too bad in this meal plus it was on sale, so we decided to go for it. It took 10 minutes to cook in the skillet. I also roasted some additional vegetables for a side dish.
Mike and I both loved this meal! It had so much flavor. It wasn’t greasy or oily which I hate about Chinese food. That is what typically bothers my stomach. It was light and had a distinct Asian flavor to it. It was plenty for us both to eat. The vegetables and the chicken tasted fresh. The pasta was cooked perfectly. I was really impressed! It tasted a lot better than other frozen bagged meals I have tried in the past. It was super quick to make also.
I think I would definitely try it again. If you look on their website, you can see the variety of meals that they have. I cannot wait to pick up another bag of something else to try! Do you like frozen bagged meals? Which one is your favorite?
I like the Meal Soup from Bertolli and before all of my stomach issues, I would often bring Lean Cuisine, Healthy Choice or Smart One meals to work for lunch. I liked all of the varieties of meals that these companies offer and they are healthy for you. It made packing lunch a breeze. I haven’t had one of those meals in a long time. Mike enjoys them though. He will switch it up bringing one of those meals to lunch or a sandwich. That is what I used to do too. Now I stick with a turkey sandwich that I know my belly likes.
So that is all I have for you today! I cannot wait for my Wedding Talk Wednesday post tomorrow! Check back tomorrow for that.
Have a great day!

Glad the frozen meal turned out well! I hate when the noodles are all soggy and gross. So glad yours turned out to be a winner!
Thank you! Oh, me too! I was very pleased
I had this stir fry a few weeks ago! Soooo good!
That’s awesome! It was really good! I was surprised how much I liked it.
Frozen food is my jam. I like the steambag veggies the most, but occasionally I’ll do a frozen meal. That one looks really good and I’m glad you found something flavorful that your stomach is happy with!
I like the steambag veggies too! They are good
Me too!
I’ve actually never had a frozen bagged meal. Not sure why though? hehe
Really?! You should try it sometime!
I’ve been making my own frozen meals lately…taking leftovers, putting them in a quart bag, and throwing them in the freezer. I figure it’ll be good for nights when I don’t feel like cooking!
That is such a good idea! You should post recipes
