Emotion Filled Weekend…

Hi there!  Happy Monday!  I hope you had a wonderful weekend!  What did you do this weekend?  My weekend was emotion filled.  A lot of it is because I am dealing with so much right now.  In addition to my on-going stomach issues which is a lot in itself, I’m very stressed out and overwhelmed over our wedding.  We are 18 days away from saying I do today.  That makes me so anxious.  I still have a lot of things to do.  I feel so stressed out over everything that I have to get done.  In addition to getting things together for our rehearsal dinner and planning our wedding, I’m finishing up things that we need to take with us on our honeymoon.  We need to remember to purchase certain things that we need such as suntan lotion, and other essentials not to mention, pack for that!  It’s a lot of things to remember all at once.

I’m hoping to get a lot of things printed at Kinko’s today after work.  I am trying to get everything out-of-the-way this week so that next week is a week of not being that stressed and our wedding week will be a breeze.  It’s hard when working full-time too.  It’s hard to get all of my work done at work and try to throw some wedding things in there while I’m working.  It’s just a lot right now.  I’m thinking about searching On-Demand for some yoga or relaxation programs.  I need to try deep breathing and trying to relax.  I don’t want to make my stomach a million times worse by stressing.

I’ll recap the weekend.  So on Friday as soon as I got home from work, I started cooking and baking for my co-worker/bridesmaid, Tarra’s bridal shower.  We are both in each other’s wedding.  She getting married in September.  So it’s been quite stressful balancing being a bride and bridesmaid all within a month of each other.  I made an italian pasta sald which I forgot to take pictures of and since she is obsessed with Reese’s peanut butter cups, I made peanut butter cup cookies!

They turned out amazing!  I’m really glad I made them.  I made them in our new mini-muffin tin!  Those tins are super cute and make baking cookies a breeze!  I’m totally going to use it again!  For dinner, we just ate whatever we had around the house.  Mike packed for his Bachelor party and then we got to work on some wedding things for our photographer.

On Saturday, I woke up early because boys were coming to my house to go to the Bachelor party with Mike.  Once he left, I got myself together for Tarra’s shower.  Sure enough, I got caught in a massive downpour of rain!  It was terrible.  For some reason, my car keeps skidding all over the road now when it rains.  I sure hope it stops.  It’s extremely scary.  I think once our wedding is over, I might need to invest in some new tires.  I don’t want that happening again.  Her shower was about an hour away.  I made pretty good time.  I got there early and helped her sister set everything up.

It was sweltering outside!  We were outside in the heat the entire day.  Her shower turned out really nice and she got some great gifts.  I’m happy for her.  She has done a lot for me lately and I’m glad that she is happy.  I’m looking forward to being a part of her wedding.  Once I decided to leave, I had such a bad headache from the heat.

I went home and made myself a comforting bowl of pasta with Earth Balance “butter” and some roasted veggies.

I relaxed for a little while and then got myself dressed and went over to Melissa’s house.  We had originally planned to do my second Bachelorette party but no one was available last-minute.  So Melissa and I decided to head to Chickie’s and Petes.  We met up with one of my really good friends/co-workers, Bob.  It was great catching up with him outside of work.  I had crab fries and I shouldn’t have.  My stomach hated me for that.  Oh well.  You live and learn.  We closed down the bar and then I went home.  It was the first time I slept by myself since I’ve been living with Mike for two years.  It was weird.  I found myself gravitating towards his side of the bed.  I slept in the middle and towards his side.  I have to say I feel safe and more comforted when he is next to me.  I missed him.

On Sunday, I went over to Melissa and my mom’s house.  We hung out for a while and ran some errrands.  When I got home, Mike was there and we went food shopping and spent the rest of the night relaxing. I made a turkey panini for dinner.

We went to bed pretty early after Big Brother because we were both tired.  I’m glad that he is back home with me.  :)

So that was my weekend!  I hope you had a great one!  Have a good Monday!

  1. I’m sorry you’re feeling so stressed! Looks like you still had a good weekend though! :) All the stress will be so worth it when you’re sitting on that plane heading for your honeymoon. Keep breathing, girl. :D

  2. Everything will get done – just breathe and relax!

  3. I saw somewhere on here that you said you had stomach issues. As a person who has struggled with carrying several different stomach medicines in my pocket book for years, I encourage you to see a holistic doctor regarding allergens. I am lactose intolerant and have migraines as well. My doctor suggested I go sand wheat for at least 4 weeks and see if my stomach issues subsided. They have and I never have looked back! I don’t have to carry Imodium ad in my pocket book any more! I also want to say that I was diagnosed with IBS and not chrones
