Wedding Talk Wednesday: My Bachelorette Party!…

Hi there!  Happy Wednesday to you!  As you know it’s my favorite week on my blog.  I hope it’s been yours too.  There are 3 Wedding Talk Wednesdays left before the big day!  That is just crazy to me.  I can’t believe how quickly everything is approaching!  Mike and I are going to get our marriage license next week already!  I cannot believe that.

Before I get to my Bachelorette party, I’ll give you some wedding updates.  Our last day to RSVP for our wedding is Friday.  So I’m hoping to get a big rush of RSVP’s within the next couple of days.  I’m still waiting for quite a few people one of which includes my hair stylist!  I’m very nervous about that.  I’m praying she sends hers back soon or it looks as though I might need to text her or something.  She BETTER be coming!  I’m also waiting to hear back from my half-brother.  I’m hoping that he comes.  It would be really nice to have him there to celebrate.  I understand though if he can’t make it because he is coming from Utah.  So we will see what happens with that.

Last night, Melissa and I went to my last dress fitting!  Melissa also picked up her maid of honor dress and it looks great!  The seamstress did a great job.  I tried my dress on and for the first time, it fit like a glove!  I was so happy!  She did an amazing job.  The bustle that she did looks so beautiful on the dress.  I hope everyone can figure it out.  It doesn’t seem to complicated so that is a good thing.  I am very pleased with the job that she did and she worked on it in a short amount of time.  My dress and veil are now hanging comfortably at Melissa and my mom’s dress, waiting for me to put it on for the last time.  That is crazy!

Tonight, Mike and I are picking up my wedding band!  I cannot wait to see what it looks like.  I will definitely post of picture of my band and Mike’s for hopefully next week’s edition of Wedding Talk Wednesday.  But let’s get to my Bachelorette party now, shall we?

So on Saturday, Melissa, Tarra and I piled into my car and went down to Atlantic City.  We stayed at our parents timeshare.  The funny thing was as soon as we pulled up there, Courtney pulled up at the same time!  I’m glad we were able to get to the room at the same time and use one luggage cart.  We started unpacking some things and then started our dance party!  I was having fun already.  We cheered to the weekend with a cocktail and then Courtney started doing my hair.  Krystal arrived pretty late so she had to rush around while we were getting ready.  Before we knew it, it was time to head to dinner!

Me! Courtney did my hair and I absolutely love the job she did!

Restaurant we went to

We decided to dine at Trattoria Il Mulino at the Trump Taj Mahal.  I had been in contact with a woman from the restaurant to review it for my blog.  They sat us at a nice table and the waiter that they gave us was obnoxious.  He kept making comments to everyone throughout the dinner.  That was pretty annoying!

I decided to order Linguini with Clam Sauce.

Linguini with Clam Sauce

It was alright.  It had entirely too much oil in it as you can see from the plate.  It had barely any clams and not enough pasta.  It was not filling at all and wasn’t worth the $26 price tag.  I was disappointed from that.  Courtney’s dinner didn’t come out on time because they messed up her order.  To make up for it, they brought out a plate of veal for all of us to share.  Problem is, no one eats veal.  I thought that was an odd thing to bring out.  It was nice of them but I for one, will never eat veal in my life.

The dinner took an extremely long time.  We were there for over 2 hours.  They apologized and brought us out a huge dessert platter along with limoncello shots.  I thought that was super nice of them.  It did make up for the rest of our experience.

After dinner, we went back to the room to have a few drinks while we decided on where to go.  We all decided to go to the Pool at Harrah’s.  I was not a huge fan of the place to be honest.  I think I am over the club scene.  I kept getting approached by sleazy guys the entire night asking about cheating, and how can I be with the same guy for almost 7 years.  My name got insulted.  They were such a bunch of creeps!  I don’t know how they think they can pick up women with those lines, especially a woman 3 weeks away from getting married!  Ick!  That completely creeps me out.  Are you a club person or do you prefer something low key?

There were some hiccups throughout the night that I didn’t expect to happen and I am still wondering about them and I hope to get some answers soon.  It wasn’t the party that I thought I was going to have.  I think the best part of the night was when Melissa, Courtney, Tarra and I were hanging out in the room dancing and having a fun time together.  That is the memory that will last in my mind forever.  We are thinking about possibly going out sometime this weekend for a local Bachelorette Party because of so many mishaps.  So we will see what happens.
Alright well have a lovely Wednesday!

  1. Awww, yeah, I would have creeped out too! I hope you get your local, Bachelorette Party do-over and that it’s perfect! :)

  2. Awww you looked amazing! I enjoy the club scene but that’s likely due to the fact I tend to be left alone. I ensure this by wearing 4-5″ heels that make me tower over everyone else and usually scare people when I tell them what I do for a living. If that doesn’t work my dance moves usually finish them off, haha. ;)

  3. Aw sounds so fun! You look great.

  4. Aww I’m sorry to hear you had so many mishaps! You looked beautiful though and I loveee your hair. Hopefully you can make up for it this week if you go out around your town :)

  5. [...] would have to choose tiramisu.  I tried it for the first time when we went out to dinner for my Bachelorette party and I have to say I really enjoyed it.  I tried flan when I was at the Mexican restaurant in [...]
