Another Meeting with Teresa Giudice from Real Housewives of New Jersey!…

Hi there!  I hope you had a great weekend!  I apologize for not updating here on Friday. I really didn’t have anything to update on or say.  Rather than make a post about nothing, I decided not to post at all.  What did you do this weekend?  I feel like this weekend flew by so fast!  I can’t believe it’s over already and it’s Monday.  Weekends need to be longer in my opinion.  I feel like I accomplished some things this weekend.  I still have a lot to accomplish but I know I will get it done because I am a determined person.  We are officially 2 months away from getting married as of yesterday. It’s crazy to think that in 2 months from today we will be sitting in the airport waiting to leave for our honeymoon.  I’d be lying if I said that I wasn’t ready for a vacation because I am.

So I’ll catch you up on everything that has happened since Friday.  On Friday, after work, I picked up Melissa and we went back to my house so I could drop off my work things and get some stuff together.  We ran over to Barnes & Noble to get a wrist band to go to Teresa Giudice from Real Housewives of New Jersey’s book signing.  You may remember that I met her last month.  I wanted to meet her again and get a chance to talk longer than I did at the previous meeting.  So I bought her new cookbook Fabulicious Fast & Fit and we left because the signing wasn’t for 2 hours.  Keep on the lookout because I am planning on trying out some of her recipes from the cookbook.  I will hopefully be trying them out soon!

We decided to go to Bath & Body Works, and DSW to make time go by.  I ended up getting amazing deals as Bath & Body Works.  They were having their semi-annual sale and I got a ridiculous amount of items for only $30.  I got some items for the bathroom baskets for our wedding and for myself.  I am fully stocked with body spray and body wash in my favorite scent, Be Enchanted for a while now.  I’m happy about that!

Before we knew it, it was time to head over to Barnes and Noble again.  We waited upstairs for her to arrive and I ended up getting a decent picture of on the elevator with her daughter Gabriella.

We waited in line for a while and it was finally our turn!  I went up and introduced myself and she said that she remembered me from last month!  We were talking about cooking and my blog and it was just such a great moment.  She is such a nice person!  So different from how she is on the tv show.  She seems genuine and I like that about her.  You can truly tell that she appreciates every single person that comes out to meet her.

She signed my book and her daughter asked if she could sign my book as well.  It was so cute.  I had such a great time meeting her and I cannot wait to communicate with her through twitter!  Such an awesome experience.

After meeting her, Melissa and I decided to go to Ruby Tuesday for dinner.  I went with my usual, the crab cake for my meal.

My dinner

After dinner, we stopped at Kohl’s to do Father’s Day shopping and then we decided to go to a local bar for a drink after the long day we both had.  We had to deal with obnoxious guys at the bar.  I seriously don’t know what is wrong with guys these days.  They are irritating especially when you don’t feel like talking to them.  At least it was entertaining to see them act like idiots.  I went with my grape vodka and club.  It was rather tasty.

On Saturday, Mike and I woke up early to get our guest list together and our envelopes together to send to the calligrapher.  It took us so many hours to just get everything together.  I was glad that we made it to the post office in time.  I ended up purchasing the stamps for our RSVP’s while I was standing there.  I also got our invitation weighed so I know how much stamps are going to cost to send them.  Once we were done there, we grabbed lunch and went home where we spent the entire afternoon working on some DIY items.  It was rather exciting!  We had spray paint cans exploding, and various other things go wrong.  It was interesting.  I had fun doing things with Mike.  We didn’t get everything accomplished that I wanted to but at least I got a few things done and that is better than none.

I got myself together and went over to my dad’s house to pick him up.  We went to Men’s Warehouse for him to get fitted for his tuxedo.  It felt weird standing there having my dad get fitted for a tux for our wedding.  It made it almost seem real but the whole, I’m getting married thing, still hasn’t hit me.  I’m sure it won’t be long before it happens.  We only have 2 months left.

After getting measured we went to the Olive Garden for dinner and had the worst experience in my entire life at a restaurant.  I’m not going to go into full details but we were there for 2 hours!  Our food took forever to come out.  The manager was a complete ass at the beginning.  The food was beyond horrible.  It was a mess of an experience.  Luckily, the manager didn’t make us pay for the meal and gave us a gift card.  Needless to say, we will not be retuning to that Olive Garden any time soon!  I’ll be going to the one near me from now on.  I felt bad that the dinner was ruined but at least I was able to sit and enjoy talking to my dad.  I’m really glad that him and I are talking more again.

On Sunday, I spent the day just relaxing and watching shows on the DVR, literally all day.  I wasn’t feeling that great and I just didn’t feel like doing or going anywhere.  It was the first time I’ve done that in a while.  It kind of felt good to relax but I was happy when Mike finally came home and spent the night with me.  We made burgers for dinner.  Turkey burger for me, regular beef burger for him.

Now here we are back at Monday.  Another week to go.  I hope you have a great day!

  1. Whoa, what Olive Garden was that? I’ve had trouble with the one on the Boulevard before, but the others have all been great.

Your picture with Teresa and her daughter is so cute! I love that her daughter wanted to be in the picture and sign the book, too. How adorable is that? It sounds like you had such a great experience at the signing. It’s always so awesome when a celeb turns out to be gracious and genuine in person. It seems like the two of you really connected! :)

    • It was the one on the Boulevard! Too funny that you said the one on the boulevard too! I will NEVER be going back there ever again!

Aw, thank you! :) I thought it was really cute too. Her daughter was adorable. It was such a great experience! I totally agree. :) I really like her. She is such a nice person.

      • Ugh, they were awful. We had a two hour wait just before we got seated (why we stayed, I have no idea) and then the waiter made this really snide remark to me about asking for pasta without sauce. Never again will I go back there either!

      • OMG! That is awful!!!! I don’t blame you! I won’t be going back there either.

  2. I saw she was coming to B&N and actually thought of you! ha. I’m always looking for new healthy recipes so post soon please!

  3. That’s so cute that her daughter wanted to sign your book too! Love it!
