Hi there! Happy Monday! All I can say going forward into a new week is that I sure hope this week is much better than last! It’s a short week for me because I am working a half day on Friday due to my gastrointestinal doctor appointment and then I’m off next Monday for another doctor’s appointment in the city. So I’m hoping that it will be a nice, slow, uneventful week. Those are the kind of weeks that I most look forward to lately since everything has been going haywire! How was your weekend? What did you do?
What about this weather?! It was absolutely beautiful this weekend. I actually polished my toes and put on flip-flops yesterday because of how warm it was outside. The weather was great and today is going to be even better. I think it’s going up to 80 or 90 degrees today! I’m loving putting my flip-flops back on. They are so comfortable. So I’ll catch you up on what happened this weekend with me.
On Friday I ran some errands after work. I had to exchange a few shirts to Wet Seal, return my library book, and stop at the bank. Once I got home, I watched tv for a little while until Mike got home from the gym. We were planning on meeting his friend/groomsman and his fiancee for drinks at Buffalo Wild Wings to watch the Flyers game. I decided to eat my favorite Van’s waffles for dinner before we left because I can’t eat any of that food from that restaurant right now with my stomach.
Buffalo Wild Wings was packed! We waited a while for a table. I ordered a cranberry and club soda, no vodka because I still can’t drink alcohol. I didn’t mind it. It actually tasted good because there was the perfect ratio of cranberry juice and club soda. I didn’t even miss the alcohol. I ended up sharing some french fries with Mike. I have been obsessed with french fries lately. I don’t know why. I just love em! We stayed for a while and watched the game and caught up on what is going on in Mike’s friends life. Then all of us decided to call it a night.
I woke up early on Saturday morning and picked up Melissa and my mom. We decided to head to the outlets. Apparently, everyone else had the same idea that we did. It was a mob scene! People were pushing, shoving, and grabbing things like they were going out of style. It was insane. I was shocked that none of us got anything! I didn’t see anything at all. I didn’t think the prices were that great for being outlets either. It was a nice outlet center but we just didn’t see anything and all of the people made it very difficult to see anything. It was nice to be outside though and doing something different.
We decided to go to Ruby Tuesday for dinner since we had a coupon. I ordered the spaghetti squash with the lemon butter sauce again. It was so good. The portion was rather small though. I should have ordered pasta instead of the spaghetti squash and added chicken to it.
After our dinner, we went back to their house for a little while and then Melissa and I went back to my house. We picked up Mike and decided to get some drinks and Uno. I ordered my new signature cocktail, cranberry with club soda. We ordered a deep dish cookie to share. I really need to make that at home. I need to buy a cast iron skillet that can go in the oven and bake the cookie in there. It’s so good and such a good idea! I love a warm chocolate chip cookie. It’s so comforting to me.
On Sunday, Mike and I decided to run some errands that we had to get done. I ended up buying a super cute dress at JC Penney for only $15!! I can’t find a picture right now but I will be sure to take one of it. It’s black and red and is one shoulder. It’s so cute and is definitely something that I can wear for multiple things coming up as well as our honeymoon. I also ended up getting a tank top at Target for $3.00. I actually have to go back there at some point this week with Melissa. I didn’t have time to look at everything that I wanted to see. I also want to check out Kohl’s. I’m in need of cheap and cute bathing suits. I am very picky with bathing suits too so that is a problem.
After shopping we went home so Mike was able to watch the Flyers game. I was busy doing things on the computer and before I knew it, it was already 7pm! I couldn’t believe how late it was. I spent the entire afternoon on my computer. Crazy! We decided to do some indoor grilling.
I love turkey burgers! This was such a good meal. I definitely think I will be having another turkey burger tonight because we have some left to make. Yum! I love the roll too. It was nice and fluffy! I’m very particular about rolls for some reason. They have to be fluffy and doughy. Same thing with bagels. What is your favorite kind of bread or rolls?
Alright, that is enough for one day. You are now officially caught up on my life. I am so excited for Wedding Talk Wednesday this week to share our honeymoon plans!
Have a great Monday!

I totally agree!

Ahh, the weather is GORGEOUS. Wouldn’t it be nice if it could stay like this forever?
And as a total aside: love your nail polish color! So springy!
It would be amazing if it could stay like this forever! I love it
Aw, thank you! It’s a new color I picked up from Essie. I’m liking it too.
Very particular about your rolls, eh? Have you tried Sister Schubert rolls? They are my favorite store-bought rolls! Yum!
Yes, I am. No I haven’t! I will definitely have to look for them!
Thanks for the tip!
