Hi there! Happy Thursday! Like I keep saying this week, it’s really flying by! I feel like I was just saying it’s Monday. Crazy how everything is flying by so quickly. It’s not just this week that is going by fast. I feel like everything is going by so fast and I’m not able to take in each moment and appreciate things. I mean we are almost 4 months away from getting married! That is just beyond crazy to me. I can’t believe it’s going to be here before we know it. That is insane. Although, I am more than ready. I do have a decent amount of things to still get done but I know after this weekend, the majority of my questions will be answered and I will be able to proceed. Exciting!
Since I posted about Wedding Talk Wednesday yesterday, I promised you a delicious recipe that I made for dinner on Tuesday night. I promised and I didn’t forget. I am going to discuss this recipe today. It is absolutely delicious and I highly recommend you try it!
Kraft Foods has come out with a new line of seasoning packets called Fresh Take. These packets contain a seasoning packet and shredded cheese. They come in a variety of flavors and have several recipe ideas attached to the packaging. The flavors that they come in are: Southwest Three Cheese, Italian Parmesan, Rosemary and Roasted Garlic, Cheddar Jack and Bacon, Chili Lime and Panko, and Savory Four Cheese. My supermarket didn’t have a lot of these flavors. They only had maybe 2 or 3. I think it was closer to 3. I really want to try all of them except for the Cheddar Jack and Bacon. I am not a bacon fan unless it’s turkey bacon. I really would like to try the Chili Lime and Panko. That sounds delicious and I’m sure it would taste great with chicken. I’m definitely going to be on a search to find that flavor for sure! Which one would you most like to try?
I decided to go with the Savory Four Cheese especially since the recipe on the packaging called for Ground Beef and we ended up buying a package of organic ground beef because we wanted hamburgers.
To put everything together is really simple and easy! All you do is place the ground beef in a large bowl. Empty the contents of the cheese packet and the breadcrumb seasoning packet on top of the ground beef. Then add 2 tsp of water. Mix everything until it’s well combined.
In the recipe, they tell you to grill the hamburgers. I am not the grillmaster in my house and since I was preparing these, I decided to just bake them in a 425 degree oven for about 20 minutes or so until it was well done. I prefer my burgers well done with no pink.
This was by far one of the best hamburgers I ever had in my entire life! Mike said the same exact thing! I knew my stomach was going to enjoy it after eating it but I sure did! It was worth the pain that I felt afterwards. I would totally use these seasoning packets again! It made preparing dinner so quick and simple. It was flavorful and I really enjoyed it. I cannot wait to try some of the seasonings on chicken. I need to find that Chili Lime and Panko one. That just sounds so good to me! Do you like hamburgers? What kind of burgers do you like? Last night, I decided to keep things simple because my stomach was feeling rather off. So I decided to go with Trader Joe’s Butternut Squash Soup and toast with Earth Balance butter on it.
I thought the soup was actually pretty good! I am a fan of butternut squash soup. I love the pumpkin type flavor of it and the hints of cinnamon. It’s so comforting. It would have been really good with a dollop of sour cream or greek yogurt. Sadly, I didn’t think my stomach could handle that so I passed. It was still good though regardless. Sometimes a bowl of soup is just so comforting.
