Hi there! Happy Wednesday! Is this week going by super fast or is it just me? I feel like this week is flying by! Not that I am complaining one bit but it’s going quick and I’m not used to that. If only, every week was like this one. It would make the work week so nice to tolerate. Well I hope you are having a good week so far. Mine is alright. I spoke to the doctor yesterday on the phone. My small bowel x-ray came back normal and my blood work came back normal. He is waiting for the results of the Celiac Disease test which he should have by Friday. He was asking me how I have been feeling and if the medicine is working. Honestly, I haven’t noticed any change at all. I still feel terrible just like I have been feeling all along now. So he wants me to call him on Friday and we will go from there. We shall see what happens. I’m praying that this medicine kicks in and all of a sudden, I’ll feel better. One can dream.
So yesterday after work, my friend/co-worker/bridesmaid, Krystal and I decided to head over to David’s Bridal. She needed to try on the bridesmaid dress and order it for our wedding. She didn’t go with the bridesmaids and I originally because I added her as a bridesmaid late. I explained why a while ago and I’m so glad that I did. Her and I have a good friendship. I’m glad that she ended up really liking the dress! I’m loving how the dress looks on everyone. I’m so glad that I picked that style. She actually tried it on in black too and I loved how it looked in black. I was almost considering buying the dress myself. I’m so happy with the Plum color though. I love it and it’s going to give the exact look that I was going for. I think all of the bridesmaids are going to look absolutely stunning in the dress! I cannot wait to see all of them in it. Yay!
While we were there, I decided to browse and see if I saw any dress to wear for our rehearsal dinner. I noticed a dress on the Clearance rack that I actually saw back in the summer when I bought my wedding gown. I had been meaning to try it on and then I completely forgot about it. They only had one left in my size! I felt like it was fate. So I had to try it on. I did and I fell in love instantly! I really love it a lot. It’s very flattering on and I like the style.

Even if for some reason, I decide not to wear to the rehearsal dinner, it’s a dress that I can wear on many occasions. We have Mike’s co-worker’s wedding in October so I could wear it to that wedding and I can wear it on our honeymoon. It will have multiple uses. I’m pretty sure I’m going to wear it to our rehearsal because I really do love it! I ended up getting a $20 discount because I bought my wedding gown there so the dress ended up being pretty reasonable for a special occasion dress. I was happy with my deal.
After David’s Bridal, we went over to the mall. I was on a mission to try on a pair of Badgley Mischka shoes that I wanted to wear on my wedding day. Every website is sold out of them in the color that I wanted but I figured if I could just try them on and see if I could even walk in them or wear them the entire day, it would be a good thing. We looked everywhere! Finally, we found one pair in Bloomingdale’s. I tried it on and I couldn’t walk in it at all. The heel was too high and it was very uncomfortable. I’m trying to wear one pair of heels for the entire day. I don’t want to have to change my shoes. So I’m saving myself a ton of money by going with a different pair of shoes. I think I’m going to buy the ones that I originally loved from David’s Bridal. They are very cute and they are really comfortable to walk in. Plus, the color of the shoe will match the bridesmaids dresses exactly!
They are these but in the plum color of the bridesmaids dresses:

I think I will probably go with those. They are easy to walk in and comfortable.
So going back to the rehearsal dinner, we are still in the process of deciding what we are going to do about it. I got pricing from a few places and they are charging an arm and a leg! Ridiculous! We are getting married on a Friday, so we are planning on having the rehearsal the night before on Thursday.
I have some requirements for our rehearsal which is making it a little more difficult to find a place. I want a place that will give us a private room. That way, Mike and I will feel comfortable when we give our speeches. We will be able to give the bridal party their gifts and just have a more intimate party. I don’t want to be smack in the middle of the restaurant trying to do these things. I think it would be embarrassing and just not good overall. I hate the fact that we need to supply alcohol because that puts the cost way up. I was thinking it might be easier if we go to a BYOB. That might end up being more expensive in the long run though. I’m not sure. We would like to keep the cost down below $30 a person which is hard. A lot of these places I am finding are super expensive. It’s not worth it to spend so much money on just a dinner. I have a few more places to contact about pricing. We will see what happens with that.
So if you have any ideas, please let me know! I’m all ears! What would you do for a rehearsal dinner? What did you do for yours, if you are married?
Alright, have a great Wednesday!

I went to a graduation party last year at an Italian place not too far from you and absolutely loved it. There was a private room in the back (though it wasn’t too big, so depending on how many people you have, that could be an issue – I wanna say there were 30ish at the party), the food was excellent, and it was a lovely atmosphere. I’m totally blanking on the name of the place (think it began with a P?), but I can ask the family friend who threw the party, if you’d like!
Oh, okay. Was it near me or the venue? If it’s near the venue, could you ask and email me the name? That would be awesome! Thank you, Shari! You are the best
I totally agree about the rehearsal dinner – private room is the way to go. If you were in NY, I would have some places to recommend, but I got nothing in your area. I love the dress! Talk about getting lucky with finding it!
Aw, that is okay
Thank you so much! I totally agree! I couldn’t believe they only had one left in my size. I felt like it was fate especially since I saw it over the summer and then forgot about it.
Both the dinners I’ve been to have been at (different) Italian restaurants in Bucks; both were private rooms as well. They were very nice!
Oh, okay! That’s awesome!
Sadly, we are not getting married anywhere near Bucks. So I’ll have to do more research.
I like the style of that dress….I have a ton of dresses that are off shoulders/one shoulder design and also tops. Needless to say, I love it, it’s fun to wear.
Awwww, the fushcia color shoes reminds me of the one I wore on my wedding day. I think that having a pop of color in weddings is so fun.
I miss the planning stages of weddings.
Thank you!
I love that style too. The one shoulder look is so in style right now. It’s very flattering too.
I totally agree with you! I think it will make for cute pictures and plus I’ll be able to match my bridesmaids in one aspect.
Aww! Yours looked beautiful! You did such a great job
