Hi there! Happy Thursday! This is actually my last day of work for the week. I’ll explain that in a bit. I hope your week has been great! Mine has been okay and stressful at the same time. I went to the new gastrointestinal doctor yesterday! I have to say that I REALLY like him. He impressed me a lot. He has been dealing with patients who have Crohn’s Disease and IBD for about 15 years. He is extremely knowledgeable and you can tell how passionate he is about his career and about helping people. That is what I need. He explained a lot of things to me which made a lot of sense. He switched around my medications and sent me for some tests. The reason I have off tomorrow is because I need to go for a small bowel X-ray. I have to go to the hospital for this and they told me that I might be there for 4 to 8 hours for the test depending on my body. So I am definitely going to bringing reading material that is for sure. He is sending me for more blood work. I also am Vitamin B12 deficient so I had to get a shot yesterday and will need one each month.
I really think that he is going to help me. I trust him and he seems genuine. So we will see what happens. I’m hoping the medication switch will provide me with some relief. The best part about the entire visit was that I noticed he had a mickey mouse pin on his doctors coat. Since I am a Disney fanatic I was shocked to see that! I felt like it was almost a sign that he was supposed to be my doctor. We talked briefly about Disney. I am a firm believer in everything happens for a reason. So I think that touch of Disney, made me reassure myself that he should be my doctor. Maybe that is strange and I probably sound crazy for saying that but hey, it helps me think positive!
Anyway, I wasn’t sure what to blog about today but I noticed a lot of people doing this A to Z survey lately. So I decided what a better day than to do a survey today. You can find the template on Janetha’s blog, here if you are interested in doing it yourself.
A is for age: 27..I will be 28 next Sunday. That sounds crazy to me! I can’t believe I am getting closer and closer to the big 30.
B is for breakfast today: I am having one of my usual breakfasts lately which is Rice Krispies & Rice Chex with almond milk.
C is for currently craving: I am craving Mexican food! It is my absolute favorite food in the world and I haven’t had it in so long because of my stomach issues. I would love to have guacamole with chips, and a chicken burrito with melted cheese and sour cream on top. Yum!
D is for dinner tonight: I’m thinking I’m probably going to keep it simple and do my usual scrambled eggs with a toasted bagel. Or I might switch things up and have Van’s Gluten-Free Waffles. They are one of my favorites.
E is for favorite type of exercise: I don’t really exercise. So I would have to say power walking or dancing. I love to dance!
F is for irrational fear: I don’t know how irrational this is but I have a fear of upside roller coasters and roller coasters in general. I am such a chicken! I will go on a roller coaster if its somewhat small and doesn’t have a ton of drops but none that are upside down. The biggest one I’ve ever been on was Expedition Everest in Animal Kingdom in Disney World. That was enough for me.
G is for gross food: I will never try calamari, snails, or anything of that nature. I don’t like salmon. I think it’s gross. I’ve also never had ham or pork. I think that is gross to me and I feel bad about eating a cute pig.
H is for hometown: I’m not going to get into specifics about where I live but I am a Philly girl, born and raised!
I is for something important: My family. Without my family, I would be nothing.
J is for current favorite jam: I have been loving Lady Antebellum’s album “We Own The Night.” I also love Flo-Rida’s new song “Wild One.”
K is for kids: Having kids and becoming a mother is one of the single most important things to me in the world. I have some other health issues that might make it difficult to have kids but that doesn’t mean that I won’t try every single thing so that we can have them. I would love nothing more than to have 2 or 3 kids. I think it would be interesting to have twins. There are several twins in Mike’s family so I’m curious to see if that trend will continue with ours.
L is for current location: Like I said before, Philly, more specifically, at work.
M is for the most recent way you spent money: This is not exciting at all but I spent money on my co-pay at the doctors office and then at CVS for my medication.
N is for something you need: A stress-free life. I am under so much stress constantly. It’s hard for me to calm down. I put a lot of pressure on myself for a lot of things. I don’t know how to not live a stressful life but I would certainly like to try.
O is for occupation: I don’t want to discuss specifics about where I work or anything in that nature. So I will say one thing, it’s television related.
P is for pet peeve: Bad drivers, and people who don’t hold their silverware properly.
Q is for quote:
R is for a random fact about you: I almost never wear earrings and I’m not exactly sure why. I try to wear them at least once or twice a month so my holes don’t close up.
S is for favorite healthy snack: Apple slices with peanut butter or banana with peanut butter. Can you tell I love peanut butter?
T is for favorite treat: This is a tough one. I am a fan of Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups and Chocolate Covered Gummy Bears.
U is for something that makes you unique: I would have to say my name! I love that about me. It’s extremely unique and it’s very rare to find someone else named, Hope.
V is for favorite vegetable: Brussels sprouts!!! They have to be roasted though. That is the best way to eat them!
W is for today’s workout: I will not be working out today. Like I said, I’m not much for exercising.
X is for x-ray’s you’ve had: I have had a ton of my stomach lately and I’m getting another one tomorrow. I had one two years ago when I broke my little toe.
Y is for yesterday’s highlight: Surprising my friend/co-worker/bridesmaid, Krystal with a birthday cake and card for her birthday!
Z is for your time zone: Eastern Time!
Now it’s your turn! Pick a letter and answer the question in the comments section so I can get to know you!
Have a great Thursday!
