Hi there! Happy Friday!! We finally made it! I don’t know why this week felt like forever to go by. I’m just glad that it’s almost over with and we can move onto the weekend. I have had enough of this week. I’ve been stressed out beyond belief. Every time I think something is settling, another thing pops up that is making me very stressed out. I wish I could catch a break. All of the stress goes right to my stomach too. It doesn’t make any matters better. Ugh.
Yesterday after work, I picked up Melissa on my ride home and we stopped at my house to pick up a few things before going out to run errands. Well wouldn’t you know it? I got selected for District Court Jury Duty AGAIN!!!!! I just got picked a couple of months ago. I thought if you got selected, it excuses that for you for several years. Unless that is if you actually go in? I didn’t have to end up showing up. This time, it’s smack in the middle of all of my health issues. I honestly don’t know how I could possibly sit in a courtroom feeling the way that I do. At least when I’m at work, I have access to the bathroom whenever I need to go. I don’t know what I would do if I was sitting in a courtroom. So I’m planning on calling my doctor today and seeing if she can fill out a form for me to submit because logically I don’t see how this is possible. I can’t even get my Crohn’s into remission yet and I don’t know how I could manage sitting there. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that I will be excused for medical reasons.
Once I finally calmed down after receiving that in the mail once again, Melissa and I were on our way. We decided to eat at Ruby Tuesday and give it another try. This time we went to a different one that we haven’t been to in a while. I’m getting real sick of eating chicken, so I asked the waiter if the crab cake was fried. He said no, it was grilled. Perfect! So that is what I decided to order.
At this point, I didn’t even care if my stomach was killing me while eating this. I wanted to eat something different from what I have been eating for months on end now. I loved the spaghetti squash. It was cooked perfectly. I wish I was able to cook it like that when I make it. I’ve tried making it twice and both times were huge fails. I definitely would like to try again.
After dinner, Melissa and I went to DSW, and to Bed, Bath and Beyond. Mike and I received a gift that we registered for that we really didn’t end up liking/needing. I’m not sure why we registered for it in the first place. So I decided to return it and replace it with a blender. We have never had a blender. I think it’s important right now because I am unable to eat fruits and vegetables. So I’m thinking if I make them in smoothie form, my stomach might be able to handle it. Plus, we could make soups with it and do a whole bunch of other things. I think a blender is a necessity! So I ended up picking up a KitchenAid Blender.

Do you have a blender? Do you know of any good smoothie recipes for me to try? I’m excited to try this blender! I’m also looking forward to trying banana soft serve. Yum! I figure that it matches our KitchenAid Mixer. So once we buy a house and have enough counter space, it will match well together. I’m hoping that this is a good one. I really wanted a VitaMix but those things are crazy expensive!
After shopping, we went back to Melissa and my mom’s house and I hung out for a little while and played with Oliver. Speaking of which, his birthday is next Saturday! I cannot wait. It’s a big birthday for him!
What are you doing this weekend?
Alright, well that is my story for today. Have a great Friday!!

You should definitely be able to get out of jury duty. I have a note from my sugeon for the same reason!
I hope so! I just hope the doctors office will get back to me and fax me the form back. It’s so frustrating dealing with doctors offices.
Enjoy your blender! I need to get a new one as well. I love my green monsters!
Thank you!
How do you make a green monster?
I have a really crappy blender. I got it for free when I bought my george Forman grill so I guess I can’t complain.
My fav smoothies are banana berries and spinach with a splash of almond milk. Yum!
Getting a blender for free is always a good thing.
I love free things! That sounds good! I’m going to have to try that. How much spinach do you put in it?
