It’s Friday, Friday, Gotta Get Down on Friday! Sorry, I just had to! I am so incredibly happy that tomorrow is Friday! These past two weeks have just been so stressful. I am ready for the weekend so that I can relax, breathe and just enjoy life. Work is getting to be a lot of stress like I have mentioned before so I have been dreaming of the weekend all week-long! What are you doing this weekend? Have anything fun planned? Tomorrow, I am going to the Taste Philadelphia event, and then after Mike and I are going to eat dinner with his two girl cousins and their boyfriends.
I’m super excited for this food event. It seems like it’s going to be awesome and it would be even better if I could get the chance to meet Jose Garces. I think he is going to be signing autographs. So I am definitely going to be standing in that line! For those of you who don’t know who he is, he is an Iron Chef. He is a restaurateur and Chef in the Philly area. He has some amazing restaurants in Center City, Philly. I actually ate at his restaurant Distrito when I first started my blog.
Moving on, when I got home from work I gathered a few things I needed and then ventured over to Melissa and my mom’s house. Melissa and I went out to run a few errands before we took Oliver to the vet. We first went to Pet Smart so Melissa could get Ollie some treats he likes. Then we went to Ulta, where Melissa got a few things and I sadly couldn’t find the nail polish I was looking for. After that, we went to Giant. Now wait until you see this deal that we were able to pull off! Melissa actually did this deal on Sunday when we went to the supermarket but I didn’t have the coupons I needed so I couldn’t do it.
Now they were having a deal on Healthy Choice frozen meals. If you bought 6 of them, they would take $5 off instantly. There are also $1 off 1 Healthy Choice frozen meal coupons on the computer. So using a couple of different computers and printers, I was able to print out 6 of those $1 off coupons. I picked out my 6 Healthy Choice meals, got in line, gave my coupons and watched my saving add up. Look at my goods:
I’ll hold you in suspense for a little bit, while I show you the variety of meals I chose.
Alright, I won’t hold you in suspense any longer…how much do you think I paid for all of these? Come on guess…..
Have any idea?
Ok, I’ll tell you. I paid a whopping $1 for 6 Healthy Choice meals!!!!!!!!!!
Talk about an awesome deal! Now, if you live near a Giant, seriously do this deal before Sunday!! This is by far one of the best deals I’ve ever gotten from couponing! Extreme Couponing at it’s finest!
After our amazing deal, Melissa and I decided to pick up Boston Market for dinner. We ended up ordering the family meal deal online and I got $5 off our purchase a large side for free. So I only spent $20 for a ton of food.
The macaroni and cheese and mashed potatoes are really the best part of the Boston Market meal. Oh and the cornbread is great too! I love everything about it. Do you like Boston Market? What is your favorite fast food type of restaurant?
After dinner, we went to the vet with Oliver. I feel bad for him. They had to shave his paw so they could look at it and see what was going on. He was a really good sport through everything. He now needs to wear one of those cone-shaped hats so that he will stop irritating his paw because all he does is lick it constantly. He really irritated it. They gave him some medicine and want to see him in a week. I’m hoping that he will get better and that nothing else will need to be done. He is such a brave pup. He may almost be 10 years old but he certainly doesn’t act like it. You would have no idea that he is almost 10 if you meet him. He acts like a puppy. That is what we love about him. “A dog doesn’t care if you’re rich or poor, educated or illiterate, clever or dull. Give him your heart and he will give you his.” – Marley & Me
On that note, have a great Friday! :)
