Good Morning! I hope you are more awake than I am. I am so tired. I feel like no matter what time I go to sleep, I am still exhausted. I’m hoping to go to sleep a lot earlier tonight. What time do you normally go to sleep? I try to be asleep by 10pm. That doesn’t always happen. At the latest, I’d say 10:30pm. I do have to get up at 5am. So I want as much sleep as I can get. On the weekends, I’ll try to stay up as late as possible. I think I usually end up going to sleep around 11pm-12am. On Fridays, it’s usually much earlier because I’m tired from working. I think it’s funny because back in the day when I was in college, I would stay up until like 3 or 4am with no problem! I don’t think I’d be able to do that now.
So yesterday, when I got home I was greeted by Mike. His work had off for Columbus Day. It was nice to come home to him. :) We just relaxed and watched tv for a while before deciding on what to make for dinner. Neither one of us really felt like cooking. I remembered on Sunday, that I had picked up Perude Baked Chicken Cutlet’s Italian Style at the store. I like that the chicken is baked and not fried.
We decided to eat this chicken along with a bunch of vegetables that we roasted. Our vegetables included string beans, brussels sprouts, broccoli, butternut squash and potatoes.
I don’t think I could ever get sick of roasting vegetables. I’m loving butternut squash as of lately! It’s so good. I definitely think it’s one of my favorite squash by far! Plus, roasted butternut squash soup is amazing! I need to get a blender just so that I can make that soup! It’s just that good!
Speaking of blenders, I am a member of The Knot, which is a site for Brides to connect with other brides with wedding related things. They have a ton of information on there as well as message boards. Last week, I received an email that a Macy’s which is located half-way between my work and Mike’s work is having an event for engaged couples. It’s a Registry event where you can register and they have different types of events going on. So Mike and I decided to go tonight to the event so that we can register for what we wanted to register for from Macy’s. Macy’s is not going to be our main registry. I think we might end up registering at 3 places, with Bed Bath and Beyond being our main registry.
We haven’t registered for anything yet. So I’m pretty excited! I’m not exactly sure what we are going to register for from Macy’s but it doesn’t hurt to browse and see if there is anything that we would be interested in. I think it’s going to be interesting registering. Mike and I have been living together for 2 years. When we first decided to live together, we went out and just bought necessities which included really cheap pots, and pans, etc. Things of that nature. So I’m pretty excited that we are going to be able to register for pots and pans and things like that, that will actually hold up! Obviously, there are some items that we absolutely don’t need such as a coffee maker, and a toaster oven. I will definitely be posting along the way of our registry experience.
Check back tomorrow for Wedding Talk Wednesday, and I will do a full recap of this event that we are attending tonight. What is a must have item that you would register for or if you are married what was the one item that you had to register for no matter what?
Alright time to get back to work now. Happy Tuesday! :)
