A Delicious Crockpot Meal Kind of Night…

Good Morning!  Happy Wednesday!  I hope your week is going well.  This has been a very busy week at work for me.  Luckily, I have off from work tomorrow!  I took the day off to spend with Melissa!  We are visiting somewhere that I am very excited about!  I’ll give you a hint!  It has to deal with pumpkin!!  ;)  I seriously cannot wait until tomorrow morning when we drive there.  It’s going to take a while to get there but it’s all worth it!  I will be sure to do a complete recap for you guys!  I cannot wait!!

Yesterday, I couldn’t wait to get home because I had dinner cooking away in the crockpot.  I seriously love crockpot cooking.  It makes coming home from work and knowing dinner is already cooked that much easier.  I really like using it in the fall/winter.  I haven’t used it all that much this summer.  I think the only times I’ve used it was for shredded chicken.  I highly recommend you buy one, if you don’t have one.  It will seriously change your life for the better!

Back in April, I posted about this recipe that I tried in the crockpot from the Pioneer Woman.  All you do to make this roast is add a bottle of Chili Sauce and a packet of French Onion Soup mix together with a cup of water. Then you pour that over the roast in the crockpot and you cook it on low for 9 hours.

Roast in the crockpot

The most tender and flavorful roast ever!

This roast becomes so tender and juicy in the crockpot.  It has so much flavor and isn’t dried out at all!  It’s definitely my favorite recipe for roast.  I cannot wait to make this once the weather gets cooler outside.  It would be the perfect meal for one of those cold winter nights!  Yum!  :)  I will most definitely be making this again.  Plus, it leaves a ton of leftovers!

Yesterday, I received a package outside my front door when I got home.  It was a prize pack that I had won from Ali’s blog at Food Fitness and Fashion!  Look at this awesome lunch bag I got!

Tazo Lunch Bag!

I needed a new lunch bag and I couldn’t bring myself to buy one for some reason.  I don’t like buying things for myself.  I’d rather treat other people to gifts.  I’m happy now though because I have a super cute lunch bag.  It’s really roomy inside and the entire bag is insulated!  Love it!

I also got sent a new tea from Tazo.  It’s their Zero Calorie Chai Tea!  I’ve never had Chai Tea before.  I’m excited to try it this afternoon with my lunch!

Zero Calorie Iced Chai!

I’m excited to try this!  I love trying new things.  Are you more of a tea or coffee person?  I am a huge coffee person.  I love coffee with a passion!  I always need to start my day with coffee.  I also like drinking a cup of decaf at night.  It’s comforting to me.  I like tea too.  I am a fan of unsweetened iced tea, green tea, and lemon zinger tea!  I don’t drink hot tea all that often.  It’s usually iced if I am drinking it.

Last question for today, do you use a crockpot?  Have any good recipes to share?

Have a good day!  :)

  1. I am a coffee person who loves iced tea. I only drink hot tea when I have a cold, but unsweetened iced tea is my drink of choice. I love honest tea and I saw that Giant now has gallon jugs of it.

I have a crockpot which I’ve neglected all summer too. I also have a recipe book that I think I will be browsing soon to find something yummy to make soon.

  2. LOVE crockpot cooking, but def reserve it more for the fall and winter. I think partially because of the comfort food factor, but also because I’m not home as much.
