A Lobster Ravioli Kind of Weekend…

Good Morning!  Happy Sunday!  This weekend sure did go by fast!  I hope you are having a great one!  I am thankful that the torrential rains finally stopped!  It was insane yesterday!  Not to mention last night!  The rain was beyond horrible.  It was flooding everywhere!  Horrible!  The sun is shining today.  So I’m glad that the weather has improved.  I think after yesterday, we will not need rain for quite a while!  Let’s get back to the weekend so I can catch you up!

After work on Friday, I came home and hung out around the house for a bit until Mike came home from the gym.  Then we started on dinner!  It was a Trader Joe’s Lobster Ravioli kind of night!

TJ Lobster Ravioli

We used Emeril’s Vodka Sauce as our sauce of choice.  I grabbed this jar on sale last week!  We were excited to try it!

We also made our favorite Garlic Bread ever!  Pepperidge Farm’s Mozzarella Garlic Bread!

Best Garlic Bread Ever!

This dinner was fantastic!  Let me tell you, that Lobster Ravioli from TJ was incredible!  It only cost $2.99 for the entire package.  I thought that was a great deal especially since it served two people for two nights in a row, as you will see later on in my post!  That is an amazing bargain! Especially because this same meal in a restaurant probably would have cost us about $18 EACH!  So we really saved so much money!  I highly recommend trying this ravioli if you like lobster!  It was very impressive!

The Emeril’s sauce was delicious as well!  It had great flavoring to it!  I would really like to have this sauce again but it was definitely a fluke that it was on sale last week.  I’m hoping that it will be on sale again or that I can find a coupon for it.  It was REALLY good!  Best jarred vodka sauce that I have ever had for sure!

The green beans were frozen and I just opened the bag, and threw them onto a baking sheet that I sprayed with cooking spray.  I sprayed them with more cooking spray and tossed them in garlic salt and pepper.  They came out perfectly roasted.  I forgot how much I love roasted veggies!  The garlic bread was delicious too! If you haven’t tried the Pepperidge Farms garlic bread, definitely try it!  You will become obsessed with it, like how Mike and I have!  :)

After our delicious dinner, we decided to rent a movie and get some Rita’s water ice!  We went to Redbox and rented Morning Glory.  Then we stopped at Rita’s and I got a gelati with their new water ice flavor, chocolate peanut butter with twist ice cream!  OMG!  The chocolate peanut butter water ice was by far the BEST water ice I ever had!!!  If you live in the Philly area, and you love chocolate and peanut butter, seriously get to Rita’s and try it!  It’s the BEST flavor!!!!  I cannot wait to try it again!!!

Morning Glory was an okay movie.  I passed out for like 10 minutes during the end so I think I missed an important part.  It kind of dragged a bit.   I think I would have been fine if I didn’t watch it.  Oh well.  At least our rental was free due to a promo code!

Yesterday, I woke up and made myself a bowl of banana oats with a scoop of peanut butter!

Banana Oats

They came out pretty good actually!  I haven’t made oatmeal in a while.  It was such a dreary and rainy day that I thought oatmeal would be perfect!  Right before we were about to head out the door, we heard a knock on the door.  It was our new upstairs neighbors.  They seem pretty nice.  They are a young couple.  They are younger than Mike and I.  They are actually getting married a few months before us.  So that is pretty cool.  We will have to get to know them to see if we mesh well or whatnot.  It’s nice to know that king kong is gone!  He gave them hell before he moved! What a jerk!  I’m glad to see him gone!

Mike and I ran some errands yesterday afternoon.  Then we came home and we had the same dinner that we had Friday night.

After dinner, we went to Melissa and my mom’s house.  We spent some time there and then we went with Melissa to Houlihan’s for some drinks.  It was definitely a fun time with a lot of laughs!  :)  I just wish that it wouldn’t have been pouring so bad!

Did it rain really bad near you yesterday?  What is your favorite jarred pasta sauce?

Anyway, and here we are today.  I have yet to eat breakfast yet.  So I think I’m going to find something to eat.  Have a good morning!  I’ll see ya later!  :)

Please vote for Mike and I!

  1. I looooove lobster ravioli, YUM!

We had lots of rain. It was quite nasty out. My favorite brand of jarred sauce, actually two of them: 1) Classico Four Cheese and 2) Bove’s organic roasted garlic

  2. Pasta is my favorite weekend meal I think!
