Hi there! Wow, it’s Monday already and I haven’t blogged all weekend! I haven’t even read any blogs the entire weekend. I guess I needed a weekend off. I have to say that I missed writing. I missed documenting my adventures. I can finally relax right now. I have off from work because I had two doctors appointments to go to and now I’m waiting for the water company to arrive to replace the water meter. Then I will finally be able to relax once I make two phone calls. One of which is wedding related!! :) So let’s catch up on my weekend, shall we?
Let’s see, on Friday after work I went to get a manicure. I am obsessed with the color that I am currently wearing. It’s OPI and it’s called Mod About You. Later on in this post, you will see some pictures with my nail polish color. I need to buy this color. It’s so pretty! I didn’t care for the nail salon too much but she did a good job painting my nails. When I got home, I was excited to try out my new Rachael Ray grill pan!! Mike and I decided to cook Rigatoni with Vodka Sauce with sautéed spinach and grilled chicken.
We used Francisco Rinaldi’s Vodka sauce. We really like the tomato sauce from him so we decided to try the Vodka sauce and I’m glad we did! It was excellent.
Mike and I grilled chicken breasts with some salt and pepper.
This was such a delicious meal! It was so quick to prepare too. Plus, we saved SO much money by eating at home. Since, we are in the process of planning a wedding, we are planning to eat at home much more often now. This dinner tasted like it could definitely be in a restaurant. We both really liked it!
After dinner, we decided to get some Rita’s Water Ice. We both got a Gelati with Coffee Water Ice and twist ice cream. It was SO good! I was upset though because they just came out with Chocolate Peanut Butter Water Ice and they were sold out of it!!!! I am dying to try it. That is my favorite! Have you tried it yet? I’m thinking I might be able to convince Mike to go there and try it tonight! Haha! After picking up our treats, we stopped at a Redbox to take out a movie. We decided on How Do You Know. I thought it was okay. It was entirely too long! It was cute for the most part.
On Saturday morning, Mike made us both breakfast. I was excited to try a new product. As part of the Foodbuzz Tastemaker Program, I received this Nature’s Pride Hearty Wheat with Flax bread.
- Nature’s Pride Hearty Wheat w/Flax Bread
- Stats
- Bread
- Eggs, Toast w/Jelly
I thought this bread was just okay. It was a little too thick for my liking and I don’t think I liked the flax. I was thankful to get the chance to try this product. I think Mike will enjoy it. Thank you, Food Buzz!
After breakfast, I relaxed for a while and then went to meet my friend Courtney at Cancun Restaurant for lunch. I ordered a taco salad and it was fabulous! So good.
Courtney and I caught up for a while and then I went back to her house to see her mom. It was nice to catch up with her. :)
I then went home to get ready to go out to dinner with Mike’s two girl cousins and their significant others for his one cousin’s birthday. We went out to dinner to Stella Blu in Conshohocken. Since, his cousins aren’t aware that I have this blog and I want to keep it somewhat private, I did not take any pictures. I’m sorry! The food was absolutely incredible, especially their lobster mac and cheese! It was to die for! I definitely would like to go back there again and this time I will take pictures. After dinner, we went back to his cousin’s house and hung out for a while. It was nice. I really like his cousins so it was nice to hang out with them for a while. :)
Sunday morning, I decided to have a bagel thin with Trader Joe’s Peanut Butter Cream Cheese and turkey bacon slices.
After breakfast, I went over to Melissa and my mom’s house. We decided to go shopping for the day! I also saw Oliver’s pretty haircut! He is so handsome. I had so much fun shopping with Melissa and my mom. I really had fun! We did a lot of laughing. When we got back to their house, I showed them the wedding dress that I am in love with. I’m happy to say that they love it too! I can’t wait until I can try it on! I hope it’s reasonably priced. Since Mike reads my blog, I will not be able to post anything about wedding dresses. So you will have to wait until our wedding to see it. ;) What is your ideal wedding dress or what did you wear to your wedding?
After hanging out for a while, I went home and Mike and I started on dinner.
We are loving these frozen pizzas! They are so tasty! To go along with it, I roasted some broccoli and brussels sprouts. Yum!
This dressing had a funky taste. I don’t know if I will be eating it again. I might give it one more try. What dressing do you like? I can’t seem to find any good dressing lately.
This pizza was great! I really like their pizzas. I think they really taste like homemade pizzas! You should definitely try it if you are looking for something quick and easy to eat.
Last night, Mike and I did a ton of wedding research and I think we are set on the location. I am going to make some phone calls soon and see if we can make this happen. I will definitely say some details once this works out! I’m SO excited! We spent the rest of the night watching the Next Great Restaurant and the Celebrity Apprentice.
This morning, I woke up early to go to the dentist. Wow, that was awful! The entire right side of my mouth was completely numb. Ick. I have to go back in three weeks to be tortured some more. Hopefully that will be the last of the dentist in a while. Then I went to my other doctors appointment. The water company just left and now all the appointments for the day are done! YAY! I can finally relax! I hope you enjoyed catching up. I will be back tomorrow with our regularly scheduled programming. Have a good rest of the day! :)

oh this looks wonderful! I love the look of the pasta – fabulous! I have a hard time with dressings – most are too runny or tart for me – boo.
Thank you so much!
Same here! I can never find a good one. If I find one, I’ll let you know
